Deathball *avi Video

Post by Desaster »

Has someone everywhere seen a Deathball Movie with *Dvx or Mpeg.

I know that this is only possible via hard work.

But I will show it some Guys, which are not in my near and have not UT2K3

So they could view with a normal Player

http://www.fraps.com/
Use the demorec stuff then use fraps whilst playing back the demo. It will record d3d/opengl stuff to an avi file.
Dunno if you can convert existing files to divx or not cuz the files fraps makes are like, 100Mb+ for 10 seconds.
Also, recommend you run UT2k3 in windowed mode or in a low res so the movie file isn't too large.
(I found that in 1024x768 it actually cut off half the screen when recording which is ghey)

yup I made 2 short movies playing DB using FRAPS and gave them to a couple of friends and they are all DB players now + they introduced the game to others. so its a very good idea ;)

ive been playing around with camtasia and its k. it sounds like it gives more options than fraps. i just record to divx with the least compression so the file doesnt eat up the hdd while recording and it doesnt kill the cpu while compressing.

heh
15 seconds -> 170mb
w00p

c:\ut2003\system\ut2003.exe -recordmovie
seems to be the better alternative
tho its always on, you cannot toggle it :/

hey, i didnt know that :) ill try it now. even if it aint toggleable, just use virtualdub to cut it up.

edit: just checked it out. i ended up with a very nice quality video at 30fps :D although it took a little while. udn has an article on this at http://udn.epicgames.com/pub/Content/RecordingMovies/ make sure you read that before trying to do a video. i used virtualdub to bring all the screenshots together and it turned out sweet.

Yesterday I have tried it with a old Demo, but anyhow, it was a lower Version then 1.6.

I cant view it :(

Maybe its a good choice, to add one or two very nice Deathball MPEGS to the Download Area, here.

So other could see this Nice Game tooo ;)
