after i install db 2.3 i had some issues .
i must lunch it 2 times ..coz first time don't load game or crash and reboot

and when i finally log into game , sometimes i have crash and the message errror is ever the same:

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: AuthenticAMD PentiumPro-class processor @ 1823 MHz with 511MB RAM
Video: RADEON 9500 PRO / 9700 (6490)

Do you have any old deathball files in the regular UT2004 folders? If so, remove them.

i do it , but nothing ...now game doesn't crash , but the first time i try to lunch it (from desktop and from db folder on Star menu ) game start after long long time (3-4 minuts:eek: ) , wtf !!
what can i do?
i have defrag all drive , i have 10 GB free space on that HD, before with 2.2 this doesn't Happen (?) sry little english::Pfffff::

i uninstall previus version of DB from Uninstaler .
how can i see if there are some old files?::Pfffff::

Completely ice the Deathball directory in the UT2004 directory, ice meaning to delete it entirely. There could be some stray INI files that the uninstaller doesn't take care of. If that doesn't work, maybe a full reinstall of UT2004 as well?

umm after that i must download the DB .zip instead .exe , isn't it?
now i try this , than , ifn doesn't work , try to reinstall UT2004 too.

Just delete the entire Deathball folder, and download the .exe again. Install it and it should work perfect.

well , i uninstall previous DB , i delete manually all file remain in db folder , i uninstall all UT2004 (O_O) , after this i change my previous Directory and i use the default directory (C:\ programm\ UT2004 , so i have change HD too, before was in E:\Giochi\Ut2004), i install UT , i patc at last version patch release, i install DB.exe (i download it again) ...well nothing chage .
at first lunch game take 3 or more minuts before start

WTF .
i must download the new beta driver for my 9500 pro?
before DB 2.2 start very, very quickly.
I don't know other way for resolve this issue.

all i could suggest that is:

reinstall ut2004 (delete everything (backup ur other mods if needed)
and id suggest to have it as either C:/UT2004 / D:/UT2004 or whatever ur main partition is.

install deathball 2.3 EXE

open Play Deathball (make sure its the right one)

if this doesnt work, then u havent followed the procedures correctly, if you think u definately have, then hardware problem?

Video: RADEON 9500 PRO / 9700 (6490) whats with the 9700?
