League matches don't end properly /o\

You go to a weird empty 'create team' screen, after which you have to push back and go into single player from the main menu again.

League is fun though :)
Moshy is only in League 3 though :'(

ps: Are teams' positions and players random? :o

you cant hire any player. they are preassigned to the other teams. you can only get the free players

Personally I think that the three goal sounds should be combined... a whistle noise with the hissing and the announcer (make it sound like a hockey/soccer match)... but nix the whistle noise on spawning cause that's just annoying at times. All in all, not terrible. And all bugs mentioned in this thread do in fact exist. And I definitely agree with Twig on the selection of Join/Host... should remain seperate items.

its just a technical problem with the goal sounds. the plan was to have all 3. i dunno whats going on or what matt coded there :)
we just removed the whistle there again. its not like it matters

the freakin "ergh" sound like when the ball is reset plays whenever the ball is volleyd, scored, or at kickoff...

its pissing me off =P

It's important to note that it worked perfectly well last night (got to league 2 :o), and that it doesn't matter which homemap or teamname I pick.

edit: wtg, when I leave all options to default it works(Cataliar, TheNoobs, Hard difficulty, IceDemon as default map..btw wtg is up with that? Cube should be default :o what are the kids going to think? /o\ I mean, surely IceDemon is nice, but it's not quite a default map is it?)

When I change Cataliar to Messy, it crashes.
Maybe that's because the profile I used yesterday, but dissapeared now (You can't choose profiles, but it used to just start with Messy's team p00pi), had Messy as player name.

When I change Cataliar to lol, it works.

When I leave everything default again, and change team name to poop (one I certainly haven't used), it crashes.

wth?

It also crashes when I only change difficulty.

I'm going to reinstall, and see if it works :o

edit: wtg, just uninstalled DB 2.2 and reinstalled quite clean-ishly, then installed 2.2a straight over it.

And I now actually get to see the profiles I have created! :o wow

And it doesn't crash gg :)

Has "Ball Reset - Shot Outta The Field" announcer sound been delibrately removed, coz I don't hear it anymore. I think the whistle sounds should apply only when the ball is reset after being idle or when someone scores a non-vo goal in a vo game...The announcer voice should stay for when the ball is actually shot out of the field...

I do think people will get confused with the whistle sound on goals.

People already hardly understand when they first play VO.

They could go on for days not knowing they wouldn't have scored any reg shots in a vo game.

Doesn't seem like the pass code is fixed in this version? Is it supposed to be?

Talking about when you pass to a jumping player and it rolls along the ground to them instead of going up to where they are jumping.

The only gripe I really have other than all that is mentioned is the fact that the goalie has a miniscule volleying radius (approximately 70% of a normal player's) when he should have probably the largest (or at least equal). And also the ".15 effect" which is often mistaken as being .2 should be disabled for keepers. Note before flaming that I usually am an offenseman but just feel that goalies should be given more of a chance to save the ball. Not sure if this is flawed in anyway, but I'd be more than willing to hear opinions (as long as they aren't along the lines of "omg wtf you stupid noob" or something unbelievably childish and senseless). I post this in this thread cause I think it's may be a thought for 2.3x.

P.S.- Just curious as to why a 2.3 beta was named 2.2a. It's like naming Windows Longhorn Beta 1 as Windows XP Service Pack 3.

I'd like to see keeper volley changed in favour of keepers, but I think the delay and radius are there for a reason and that without them there use to be a problem...

David i remember you saying 2.3 will be back compatable with 2.1, for some purpose which i cant remember. wth?

turn on the menu music then ._.
forget the conformaty stuff, we couldnt conform 2.1 and 2.3 maps and textures, only the code
