Surely the best way to make DB popular is to distribute deathball t-shirts with "GG DavidM" on them to newcomers and possibly the g-strings too.

you want more servers with people on them. - exactly. now not everyone wants to do it it. 4 bots on public servers that will start freeing spots when ppl join so 1 or 2 rookies have someone to pass to when they join an empty server and can learn some basics.

but that sort of thinking just makes things worse.

newcomers should also be encouraged to spec scrims and stuff.. so they can see the dynamics of a working team.
