Exactly, ALL the Euro servers run very smooth.
Seriously though, DB is fast paced, waiting around 3 mins for a map change kills the flow and it doesn't seem interesting anymore.
Is there anything that can be done?

Believe me, I'm trying to find an answer.. I thought it was windows only.. it isn't. I thought it was UT2Vote.. it isn't.
UFO's did it once, so I had some peeps test with me again.. it was smooth during the test. I just don't get it.

imag: how about changing the map using admn?
is it only when "voting" changes the map? i know the euro dont really use voting..
maybe the bug lies withthe votes? (ut2 or not)

Might be.. But I don't know. I was just on UFO again. Twice it went from a full server to changing to smallcube and sat there 2minutes. It's running linux and no ut2vote.. I can't explain that one.

The GA servers here in OZ have huge waiting times between maps as well.
Whereas the OzForces.com server does not.
maybe it has something to do with the ports? whether they are using the default on not?
i dunno - dont flame me if that suggestion is n00b.

ok then correction to my statement.. UFO server's map changes are fast when loaded thru admin.
so.. what's the difference between loading a map thru admin.. and letting it change on its own?

tbh i like the map change slowness as long as thier are two servers that ppl can jump back and forth from. Right now we have WDK and Bud (thx for the servers btw) and i enjoy going back a forth... though i don't play like i used to so maybe more advide players would have more problem with it

Ok. I removed the replays from my regular DB 2.2 and scrim/match gametypes and guess what..
The mapchanges are back to their nimble norm.
Only problem is that there isn't any real explanation for it.
I also reenabled the option to vote up the vo gametype. But I accidently left replays on in that one... oops.

gg replays. thats why it's short on the scrims ervers.. we never go that far... everyone leaves and admin changes map..
