I have a geforce 2 mx, I know that isn't too great, but it did the job in 2k4, giving me about 60 fps where I needed it most in mixercube. But with this new update for 2.1e, I seem to get massive slowdowns every 3 seconds (its like watching the thing freeze for half a second). Anything in particular with the 2.1e coding that would do this to my game?
That sounds like the Speed Hack Detection bug. It is something that came about in patch 3270 from Epic, and should be fixed in the next patch coming out sometimes within the week.
I'm getting the same thing with 2.1e. Every few seconds the game pauses then skips to the current. The more players online, the worse it is. My frame rate and ping are fine. (9700 pro)
Only happens online. I was on a full server and it was really bad. Haven't played with less but Twig said it gets worse the more people there are. I'll try and look into it.
Edit: scratch that, it happens offline as well (didn't notice it the first time I played though). The freezes aren't as severe as they were online, that's with 10 bots. Maybe the server I was on had 12 players, I don't remember.
