Performance problem?
Who thinks he's got a performance problem with 2.1d?
If not say no and post your processor, ram, gfx card, ut2004 version
If yes, say yes and proc, ram, gfx card, ut2004 version

2.1x is much slower than 2.0 for me too. Haven't noticed 2.1d being slower than previous 2.1s but I haven't really played it enough yet.
1.4ghz athlon
512mb ram
ATi 8500le
(top of the range! ahem)
edit: ut2004 version = 3270

Those of you having this slow down for the DB 2.1 series I assume this happens during botmatchs too. It seems related to ATI radeons.
Please do this for me.
1. Get your FPS in a DB botchmatch. Quit the game.
2. Go to windows explorer and navigate to UT2004/Deathball/textures and delete your 2K4Menus.utx file.
Don't close windows explorer.
3. Get your FPS in a DB botchmatch again. Quit the game.
4. Go back to windows explorer and select Edit/"undo delete"
Report back here your relative FPS.
Thanks !

A bot match with bots in it? If so wouldn't that make it more CPU dependent?
edit: botchmatch? Is that an intentional typo? ^^
edit 2: With 5 bots db-cube
Before: 40
After: 43
I spawned at a different place the second time so I'd imagine that accounts for the variation.
With no bots I get 85 constantly (vsync) but playing online it really chugs (around 20).

I'm CPU limited with bots so it was around the same afaik, I'd have to play online to see an effect. I don't think online 2.0 games are too easy to come by.
Someone else post there results, jeez. >.<
