Hello. I would like to tell you about a pyramid scam that I know about. The coolest thing about it though, is that it works. There is a website that is offering FREE iPods.
What is the catch?
When you go to this website, they make you and five other friends complete an "offer". An offer is something like a free ISP trial or a music downloading trial or even pet meds. Some of them are free and some of them are not. Even the ones that cost money are worth while though, because you still get a good deal on the product. Basically, to get your free iPod you need to complete an offer (that may or may not cost you anything) and get five friends to do the same.
How can they afford to give out free iPods?
Well, if everyone did this perfectly they couldn't afford to send everyone free iPods. It is a pyramid scam, and the company gets people to sign up for the offers that I explained above. These offers are for their affiliates. Their affiliates pay them money to get them potential costumers. If everyone failed to get their five friends to do the offer the company would make a lot of money from their affiliates and wouldn't have to pay for many iPods.
What should I do now?
If you want to give it a try, I would go to the following website. The way it works is that you have a reference link. Post that link all over the web and give it to your friends. It should be easy to get five friends.
