weird fps cap in db

This ones prolly aimed at the developers or anyone else who had the problem and fixed it.

My fps is capped at 85 in db, its normally much much higher in standard ut2k4.

Vsync ISNT on, and i cant find anything in any of the deathball ini files about an fps cap?

FPS just stays on 85..THE WHOLE TIME:P never any higher or lower.

Any ideas?

same here
capped at 69 fps
I can run reg 2k4 at about 120fps

no amount of configuration or ini fiddling seems to solve it.

aw, only 85, this must hurt your eyes, such unsmooth gaming

ok, it doesnt matter at all, just braggers need more. but its a frequency thing in fullscreen mode
in window mode it usually aint capped

Nah its not about bragging i was just interested as to why, its capped in both windowed and fullscreen and is a deathball only thing. No other mod or gamemode does this.

Would be nice to get that fixed tbh;p

you dont seem to understand that deathball is the only thing that does this, so I dont need to bug bill gates or anyone:) The problem is only present in YOUR mod.

I wouldn't complain if I were you. My framerate goes up and down...From 70 to 20 for no apparant reason, and yep, it only affects Deathball. And it only affects some maps - Cube is bad, but Smallcube is always uber-smooth. It's just something I've had to learn to live with...

that happened to me in 2.0 beta's on bowl, for me it was the screen (which would explain why it only happens on cube)

btw 85FPS is that kind of FPS that really seems to be VSync ON. I bet its ur monitor's refresh rate :P or maybe u have a small netspeed, dunno i r n00bish :D

well the netspeed is the same as all other modes, the settings are the same, vsync is OFF, my refresh rate is higher than that anyway

I would have said netspeed, but you say its not that :p

So make sure the netspeed is being saved in the settings ;o

it is, vsync, netspeed and monitor hz were the first things i checked

Turn off Dynamic Lighting... its not zones properly and vastyly affects framerates when it has to re-align to static meshes.

Blame faulty mapping.
