OK just so you all know THIS MAP ISNT PLAYABLE... i just had this idea, but as you may know i am going on a ten day vacation, so i made the basic simplest parts of it (the level itself) and i was wondering if any mapmakers wanted to finish this level, if you are gonna try, post it in this thread, but i dont mind if more than one try, i just wanna c how many if any are trying when i get back :D i thought it was a pretty cool idea (especially my goals) adds the Random element in there and gives everyone a chance :D, well i'm off to play for my last couple of hours :( sniff! so here it is, my idea.

I tried to keep some of the theme of your last map, DB-Underground. I also tried to keep most of the geometry intact, although I did align everything to the grid. Sorry the shots are so dark; if you squint you might be able to make something out. :eek: It is lighter in-game.

hey dude, if its not too much to ask, sergeantduke can you send what you have to my email, sven00100@yahoo.com so i can try it out and see how the gameplay is, if not thats ok too, as i tried to make levels i sorta figure now i gotta keep em more secretive, though i just wanna see how its turnin out and if i might be able to get some nice lighter screenshots to show people.. if not thats ok too :o peace out dude. thanks.

E-mail sent. When I resized the images in Photoshop, the colours were washed out because the image was so bright, I don't know why they're so dark once I uploaded them. :confused:

well i'll work on getting some good screenshots once i load the level up on my brothers comp and play it on his desktop, neways keep your work on it all i want is to beta test.

here are two of the screenshots i took, they dont look bad on my computer, but then again i havent posted them yet.. donno how they will look, and btw i have some things that i noticed (that are my fault) that happend because i didnt spend that much time on it before i posted it, cuz i wanted someone else to make it, ok ...

1. Needs more player starts and path nodes, the idiot bots cant move around (donno if you were workin on that later or wha :o).

2. The ball can get caught on the ceiling of my funnel leading into the center, either you could add a steeper slope or you could add some boosters to push people up there, so people dont gotta wait.

3. The goal is too easy to score on, either shorten it eliminating 2 rows of spikes or just plain make the spikes bigger, like twice as big, which would block more shots, because every shot i took i made.

-- anyways i like the lighting and the sounds and static meshes.. they work good for the setting and i shoulda added stuff like that in my other level though im just a newb at this stuff, anyways there are my suggestions, take em or leave em sergeantduke, the map is yours :D thanks.

1) Will be addressed. Bots are pretty stupid when it comes to navigating non-cube levels in DeathBall though... just look at my first map, DB-More. Fully bot-pathed, and they act like complete retards. :rolleyes:
2) I'll look at this, although I did get the bots to boost me up there a couple times. Jump-pads would make that area a lot more playable, though.
3) Will be addressed. I'll probably do a little of both, beefing up the spikes and reducing overall size of the goal.

As for the beta - you'll be the first one to recieve it. Thanks for posting screenshots that a person can actually see. \o/

hey dude your doing a great job on this, besides the fact that nething i would try to do to compare with this would probably suck X.x i mean i have plenty of map ideas but i cant exactly follow up on them... cuz im not how you say... good at map making lol but yay i get to beta test HAHA OTHER PEOPLE!! lol look at the screen shots every1!! lol im in a good mood today, i get to go to a girls swim meet :D ta ta for now!
