if you want to practice keeping against a lone striker, set the bot count to 2 with you on the blue team. Both bots should be on red with one attacking you and the other keeping.

Works for me anyway.

Great job with the bots so far Makush, I know a lot is still to be added but they can still provide a fun game. =b

makush, are you still working on the bots? (since i heard that most of the team is gone).

i'd like to say, we hat a lan party this weekend (4 guys) and we played against 4 bots. it was great fun. there are small things that annoy me, but it was really funny.

Hardly ever, and when they do it sounds completely random :)

It wouldn't hurt for at least 1 bot to say \o/ or /o\ on missed chances (maybe only volleys? =P), and especially bar/posthits, or when the human player says it :o

Maybe an option for bots that hardly or never talk, or bots that talk frequently :o

yeah great job on the bots so far Makush. I just had an idea for the future though ;)

for people wanting to experience deathball like its played online but against bots, how about introducing the whiner-bot.

would be easy.

everytime he doesn't have the ball he spams 'Pass me the ball, ffs'

everytime the opposition scores, he says 'omfg keep'

everytime a catch is missed he says 'ffs catch!'

and as soon as the opposition go 2 goals ahead the whiner bot either changes team or scores an own goal and quits.

:p

I think the bots need to be improved a bit before personalities are added though. I don't think we need a lame bot either. :p

Obviously he is, regardless of activity :)
..well, seeing as he's still in TV (see 'Team' page on deathball.net), I'm pretty sure he'll be working on them some more in the future :)
