Like KR said there are 2 things ppl are talking about here.
Deflect is when you as a defender get in front of a shot or pass while holding nothing down and it hits off of you. <--- hopefully this is what DavidM is responding to when he says it's ok, cause it is.
Bounce is where you as a defender get in front of a shot or pass while holding "right click" down. This is known as bounce and it makes your deflect radius a hell of a lot bigger than just standing there holding nothing. <--- This is the problem we are complaing about. With the changes made to bounce this version it has allowed this ability to be abused... please go test it to see for yourself.
In the other thread DavidM said that perhaps the delay that was intended for the bounce was incorrect. I think a delay could help this, especially when it's an enemy shooting it. So, for example, if the enemy shoots the ball maybe you can't right-click "bounce" it for a second. But if a friendly shoots or passes it you have little to no delay.

we played a pickup game on some map dunno name, db-backward or something, goals were back to back. every time opponents shot i stood on the goal line holding the right mouse key and i must have saved 20+ shots with deflect, i was making more saves than the keeper gg.
Only 1 shot got through, kapi is right, if u 2 standing on the goal line and lets say 1 player charges the attacker the attackers stand no chance of scoring because they got to shoot from outside the pbox and the 2 players on the line can save it with ease.
Although it doesnt tend to happen in the regular maps like db-cube, because no-one would bother camping in their pbox in such a large map...the right mouse key can be abused and is highly gay.
and yes i know i been going on about the right mouse key thing and not deflect, so to stick with the topic, deflect is too powerful! :p
