Okay, here's how it stands at the moment, the shine has been removed from everything and some dust smoke added floating around the floor. I've also 'damaged' the pillars a bit , reduced the saturation of the coloured floor tiles and made the drawn lines on the floor dark instead of nearly white...

Give a valid point and I'm sure we ALL will notice it!
Untill then, 3rd party maps will contine to include the best there is and the official maps will pale in comparision. Not the way I'd of thought you would want it. :(

DAVID M, you challenged us to find just ONE static mesh you didn't make in DB-Cube, well I've found one and it's used 480 times plus without it you would be seriously lacking most of the atmosphere that this type of map has. What is it? StaticMesh'SC-Intro_Meshes.CrowdSheets1' - THE CROWD! So unless...

it was about meshes i make many tex by my own, but most top mappers have no clue bout that stuff a mapper's job is to do the shapes, the brushes So it's OK to be unable to make your own textures but not OK if you can't make static meshes! Sheer hypocrisy from the master yet again... :rolleyes...

Set it to TriggerOpenTimmed rather than the default BumpOpenTimed and set up a trigger to activate it when the goal is scored. Take a look at either DB-JE-Back2Back or DB-JE-TheBook. I used movers for the goal events in both maps. The little scoreboards in Back 2 Back that say GOAL in the appropriat...

So are all your textures your own?

I don't think so, so why have you stolen them and used them in your map?

Here it is is terms even YOU can understand: EPIC GIVE PERMISSION FOR ANY TEXTURE, SOUND, STATIC MESHS, ETC. IN THE SUPPLIES FILES TO BE USED IN THE CREATION OF NEW MAPS. If you are given permission to use something, you ARE NOT stealing it, therefore they are not thieves. It DOES take skill to crea...

What, as in DB-Cube?
Several cubes (including the extra complex buildings... :D) and some inspired static meshes? ;)

...that are static meshes in the standard UT2003 ArboreaHardware.usx file?
The files that Epic included for people to use in there own maps?
What's the problem with that?

I'll look into that.
May end up with the book on a table not much larger than the book and the surrounding room in darkness.
How's that sound?
