melvin (right?)...just port DB-Cube or whatever u want to unreal 2 and it will look as it looks in ut 2003, nothing better. And who the fuck cares about shadows in a multiplayer game? Splinter Cell would suck without those shadows...but there is now need for them in deathball. Most ppl don't give a ...

Yup...it will not look better...all what you see in unreal 2 is also possible in ut 2003...The u2 engine is an older build than ut 2003 by the way. The shadows and shit you see in Unreal 2 are all made with projectors which can also be made with ut 2003.

i really like 1.7 but what the fuck happened to tribun? this was my favorite map....but now i really hate it. I liked the old size of the map...something between cube and smallcube.

i've created my own db ini's....one deathball.ini instead of the ut2003.ini and one dbuser.ini instead of the user.ini of ut2k3...then added this line to my shortcut...

D:\Games\UT2003\System\UT2003.exe -mainmenu=deathball.db_mainmenu ini=Deathball.ini userini=DBUser.ini

and it works fine.
