Will someone kindly PM me the intended way to solve Lambda that involves logic and makes use of subtle clues and isn't what I did to run across the answer?

Though I have blitzed through Notpron, relatively speaking, I've been having less and less fun with this last couple of Greeks. Levels like Zeta and Iota were absolute cake, whereas Kappa and now Lambda don't seem as difficult as they are lacking direction. Kappa's ultimate solution actually ...

haha. Yeah, I decided that the old ending wasn't a very complicated red herring nor was it a very complicated clue, and backtracked.

The actual answer to Kappa would've been very satisfying if there were any real clues.

Aaaand stuck again. Aren't riddles supposed to have some sort of direction provided to you? It's not really a riddle if the Sphinx sits there and patiently stares at you instead of saying even a couple words.
