I can't find any .ini files in the deathball folder. I did download the latest patch

I am having some problems starting up Deathball. When I start it up, I am in some sort of server. It is entirely black. I can use the console. I can also disconnect and look at server options, which is why I know it is one. I am running Win XP. I can quit to a server list, but all the servers ask ...
