Tonight I decided to give the latest version of Deathball another go and it seemed I had the exact same problem. Deleting the ini file fixed things.

I agree with fro. There needs to be a little more friction when the ball is rolling on the ground. Sometimes, when it rolls at high speed, it even seems that it 'll never slow down.
